- Hidden in the Shadows
A baby iguana barely 5 inches long holds statue still beneath the shade of a spiny tree. The bright neon green is a surprisingly good color to camouflage this little creature from its predators. As the iguana grows the bright green will fade to be replaced with bars of deep green and gray.

- Single Hibiscus
Hibiscus flowers abound on Bonaire with the many hues of reds and corals. The flower is a very fleeting thing usually lasting only a day or two. Yet the plant always seems to in bloom with more flowers to enjoy each day.

- A Palm’s Heart
Here is a close-up view of the birthplace of the coconut deep in the heart of the palm tree. They begin life as small brilliant orange clustered buds which grow to football size. They then brown and the heavy branch will eventually break from the weight.
